Monroe L. Inker

With great regret, the firm announces the passing of its partner Monroe Inker.

Of Newton formerly of Brooklyn, NY entered into rest April 15, 2006. Beloved husband of Elaine (Hamilt). Devoted father of Lauren Inker & her husband Richard Blank of Needham and Rachel Inker & her husband Christian Brown of Jericho, VT. Loving brother of the late Jean Dricks. Dear uncle of Neddy McMills of Queens, NY. Cherished grandfather of Samuel & Margo Blank and Lily & Mya Brown. He will be remembered as the "Father of Modern Family Law in Massachusetts."


Litigation, Family Law; Civil Law; Criminal Law; Litigation Defense:

  • Mr. Inker taught trial practice and evidence as an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School for more than thirty years. He was an adjunct professor of law at Suffolk Law School, teaching a course on child custody.
  • He also taught special seminars in trial practice, trial advocacy and family law practice sponsored by the American Bar Association, Family Law Section Council, the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Continuing Legal Education Programs and Massachusetts Bar Association Continuing Legal Education. He was an Editor for the Family Law Quarterly, published by the American Bar Association Family Law Section.
