Labor and Employment Law:
- Private practice, Boston, MA February 1968 to present. Engaged in all aspects of the practice of labor relations and employment law including federal and state court proceedings, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, state labor agency proceedings, arbitration and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, both in the private and public sectors.
- Represented the construction industry in Massachusetts, both management and labor, in a challenge to then Mayor Kevin White’s residency executive order. He succeeded in challenging the constitutionality of that executive order in a unanimous opinion of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. The City of Boston then appealed to the United States Supreme Court where Mr. Kingston was privileged to argue the case before the full Court. The Court ruled in the City’s favor 7 - 2, Justices Rehnquist and White dissenting.
