Energy Law:
- Partner and an Executive Committee member of the law firm and is co-Practice Area Leader of the Energy and Energy Department.
- Representation of clients include: twenty-five of the forty municipal light plants in Massachusetts, including the Reading, Braintree, Taunton, North Attleborough and Littleton light plants; the Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative; the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative; certain municipal light plants in Vermont and New Hampshire; Massport; Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority; Amtrak; the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency at Devens; the Massachusetts Municipal Association though its agent for electric power procurement; the Central Artery/ Tunnel Project; Massachusetts Turnpike Authority; and Energy New England, LLP.
- Represents clients who have an annual peak load and usage of 1,990 MW and 10,920,160 MWh, respectively.
- Representing clients throughout New England, New York, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Illinois and before state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Represents over 210 power supply transactions, amounting to about 10,000 MW on an annual basis and 30,000 MW over the contract term, having a total dollar value of about $4.5 billion with about $1.6 billion in savings.
- Represents clients in 24 transmission projects and represented these clients in the Restated NEPOOL Agreement and the New England-Independent System Operator Agreement.
- Councils clients in negotiations, contracting, bidding, permitting, environmental matters, project development, regulatory and administrative proceedings before local, state and federal regulatory agencies, litigation, opinions, mixed legal and business work and general counsel work.
