Litigation and Environmental, Land Use and Zoning Law:

  • Counsels individual and corporate clients on environmental compliance and litigation matters including G.L. c. 21E litigation, planning and enforcement defense.
  • Assists clients with management of hazardous waste response actions.
  • Works closely with consultants to develop cost effective remedial plans.
  • Counsels developer clients in all aspects of Brownfields redevelopment including purchase and sale, obtaining environmental insurance and all associated permitting.
  • Assists developer clients with all phases of G.L. c. 40B development including successful representation before the Housing Appeals Committee.
  • Litigates complex hazardous waste matters before Federal and State Courts.
  • Successfully assisted clients in recovering defense and coverage funds from insurance companies.
  • Assists clients with land use issues, administrative appeals and wetlands/waterways permitting.
  • Worked as a Geologist and Environmental Scientist with ENSR Corporation and Foster Wheeler Environmental Corporation prior to entering the legal profession.
  • Interned with EPA Region I, New England, in the Superfund Section.
  • Clerked for Magistrate Judge Robert Collings at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, 2004
  • Prior to joining Rubin and Rudman, practiced as a litigation attorney representing clients in a wide array of areas including toxic torts, premise liability, product liability, and maritime/admiralty matters before state and federal courts.
