June 22, 2017

District of Columbia (June 22, 2017) – Rubin and Rudman LLP is pleased to announce that Gregory S. Braker has joined its D.C. office as the newest Equity Partner of its environmental practice group.

Mr. Braker brings with him over twenty years of environmental experience in a wide range of industries, including construction and development, manufacturing, trade and distribution, utilities, transportation, and mining. His diverse background includes permitting, regulatory counseling, and defense work related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Air Act (CAA), and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Mr. Braker often helps clients to design and implement efficient and cost-effective corporate compliance programs and environmental management systems (or improve their existing programs/systems), and rethink how they do business (so as to minimize regulatory burdens and cut costs). He also has extensive experience in guiding clients through site assessment, remediation, and clearance of properties with complex contamination issues and effectively managing related risks (often in the context of corporate or real estate transactions).

Mr. Braker strives to work closely with clients to gain a full understanding of their goals and business values, which enables him to provide complete and practical solutions that meet both their legal and business needs. His unique client service has led several clients to comment that he functions as a “virtual” in-house counsel.

Mr. Braker received a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition from University of Maryland College Park and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. Gregg serves as a member of the Board of the Council for Court Excellence (CCE), and he also coaches youth sports teams for the Olney Boys & Girls Club in Maryland.
