With great sadness, we announce that our long-time colleague and friend Milton Bordwin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Milton was a valued colleague and partner for over 60 years.
Milton joined Rubin and Rudman in 1959 and focused his practice in the areas of corporate and real estate transactions. He was a member of the bars of Massachusetts, New York and the Supreme Court of the United States, where he successfully argued the landmark Federal civil procedure case Foman v. Davis, 371 U.S. 178. This case has been cited by state and federal courts every working day since the opinion was issued – in a total of over 27,000 court decisions. In 2017, Milton published SOLVED! – 40 Tales of his solutions to the most vexing problems clients threw at him over his 60-year career as a business lawyer.
Milton is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vienna, Austria, and in Germany. He pursued his education at Harvard Law School, obtaining a J.D. in 1955, followed by a Master of Laws in 1959.
Rest in peace, Milton. We will honor your memory always.
