Insurance Litigation Associate

Rubin and Rudman LLP, a mid-size, Boston-based law firm, is seeking an associate to join our insurance coverage and litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience analyzing insurance policies, researching insurance law, and drafting insurance coverage opinions, in a range of insurance contexts, including commercial and personal lines liability insurance, life sciences insurance, and environmental insurance. Some experience with handling the defense of insurers and insureds in litigation, including 93A or bad faith litigation, and tort cases, will be considered a plus.

Candidates must be highly analytical and possess superb communication skills as well as a demonstrated ability to manage all phases of litigation with appropriate partner supervision. The ideal candidate will have prior experience at a regional or national law firm or a well-regarded local firm. Admission in Rhode Island is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of insurance coverage and litigation experience;
• J.D. degree and membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar;
• Excellent writing, interpersonal and analytical skills required;
• Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment as well as manage matters independently and proactively
