“And They Call It Puppy Love” – Appellate Div. (DCSD) Affirms Trial Judge; Al Gray Wins Case
December 1, 2016
Boston (Nov. 22, 2016) – Alfred A. Gray, Jr. successfully defended his client in an unusual adoption case involving Coco, the dog from Aruba found roaming on a beach in Aruba in 2014. Al’s client, a resident of N. Attleboro, Mass. found the stray dog while vacationing in Aruba. Dehydrated and in distress, Coco was taken to a local veterinarian for medical care. After our client and her family returned home to Massachusetts with Coco, the plaintiffs in this case contacted our client seeking a return of the dog. A suit was then brought. The trial judge rejected any claim to ownership of the dog by the plaintiffs. In the most recent case brought before the Appellate Division for the Southern District, the judgment for the defendant was affirmed. Read about the decision in the Replevin-Article, as reported in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
