October 23, 2024
Boston-based, full-service law firm Rubin and Rudman is pleased to welcome Melissa W. Chang as an associate in the Trusts and Estates practice.
Chang concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, and estate and trust administration. She advises individuals and families in creating and implementing sophisticated estate plans and lifetime gift strategies to best accomplish their goals while minimizing federal and state estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes. She prepares complex estate planning documents, as well as state and federal estate and gift tax returns, and assists clients in estate and trust administration.
“We are thrilled to have Melissa join our Trusts and Estates practice,” said Dana F. Lewis, partner and chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates department. “Melissa’s contributions will greatly enhance our team’s success and leave a lasting, positive impact on the clients she serves.” Lewis added.
Prior to joining Rubin and Rudman, Chang practiced trusts and estates at Seegel Lipshutz Lo & Martin, LLP. She earned her J.D. and Tax LL.M. from Boston University School of Law in 2015, where she served as an article editor for the Public Interest Law Journal. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Cornell University in 2009.
She is bilingual in English and Korean.
