Rubin and Rudman Partner Michael F. Connolly Co-chairs MCLE’s 21st Annual Business Litigation Conference 2022. Partner Kara A. Loridas is a Contributing Speaker.

Boston, MA (February 2022) – Michael F. Connolly, Partner and Co-Chair of the Litigation Department at Boston-based, full-service law firm Rubin and Rudman recently co-chaired the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) virtual 21st Annual Business Litigation Conference 2022 on January 26, 2022. Mike Connolly, along with his co-chair Sara Shanahan, led the opening panel called “Year-in-Review: Top 10 Cases.”

This year’s annual conference shared updates on new business litigation developments and important case law delivered by an exception faculty that included U.S. District Judges, U.S. Magistrate Judges, Massachusetts Superior Court Business Litigation Session Judges, and preeminent practitioners. The virtual conference will be rebroadcast on Thursday, February 10 at 12:00 p.m., and Friday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Kara A. Loridas, a Litigation Partner at Rubin and Rudman also participated in the conference, speaking in detail on force majeure clauses and trends as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Mike is a seasoned litigator with extensive trial experience. Across federal, state, and administrative courts and agencies, he has tried numerous cases involving complex securities, commercial and real estate litigation. He has represented clients in shareholder litigation, securities fraud, management disputes, business breakups, defamation actions, trade secret litigation, class actions, professional malpractice claims, fiduciary duty disputes, and zoning, land use, and other real estate related matters.

Kara concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance coverage, insurance law, extra-contractual or “bad faith” litigation, complex commercial and tort litigation, and appeals. She regularly appears as counsel for parties to litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts and also represents clients in arbitrations and mediations.
