For Amy, the law has always been about people—especially those facing some of life’s most difficult transitions.

From the very start of her legal career as a paralegal, Amy gravitated toward the human side of her work, finding the greatest fulfillment in helping individuals navigate complex, deeply personal challenges. Amy focuses on helping clients through crisis moments—most often when a loved one’s health is declining, and the financial and emotional toll is mounting. She brings calm, clarity, and compassion to clients struggling to make urgent care decisions while trying to stretch limited resources. Her practice includes asset restructuring and Medicaid eligibility planning, Medicaid appeals, estate recovery matters, probate and trust administration, and estate planning.

Before becoming an attorney, Amy spent two decades as a paralegal, gaining firsthand insight into the systems and stakeholders involved in real estate and elder care matters. Early in her career, she worked with developers and government agencies, but found herself drawn to the individuals behind each legal issue—those facing uncertainty and in need of guidance. That calling led her to elder law, where she now uses her experience to make a meaningful difference for families when they need it most.

Amy’s approach is grounded in empathy and a genuine desire to ease the burden on clients during emotionally overwhelming times. She is a problem-solver and a steady presence, known for crafting practical, customized solutions that help families preserve dignity, manage care costs, and maintain peace of mind.

LEGAL SOLUTIONS

Helping Families Secure Medicaid While Preserving What Matters Most

Amy regularly guides elderly individuals and their families through Medicaid eligibility planning, using strategic asset restructuring to preserve critical resources. She has helped clients transfer home ownership to caretaker children, protect assets for disabled dependents, and establish pooled trusts that enhance quality of life for nursing home residents—especially those without close family nearby.

Empowering Clients to Stay at Home Longer, Safely, and Affordably

In matters involving home-based care, Amy works closely with clients to extend their ability to remain at home through careful financial planning. By restructuring assets and coordinating access to Medicaid home-care programs, she helps individuals maintain their independence while addressing evolving care needs

Reducing/Eliminating Estate Recovery Claims

Amy frequently represents families navigating Medicaid estate recovery claims following the death of a loved one. By identifying applicable statutory exemptions and advocating for favorable lien treatment under Massachusetts law, she helps clients reduce or eliminate repayment obligations, safeguarding the family’s future.
