His experience spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining Rubin Rudman, Ted was an assistant staff attorney at Community Action Program Legal Services, Inc. (CAPLAW), where he advised nonprofit organizations nationwide on corporate compliance, governance, employment law, and data privacy. He began honing his corporate advisory skills at Boston College Law School as a student attorney in the school’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic, assisting early-stage companies with business structuring, trademark protection, and contract matters.
Known for his strong writing and clear communication, Ted aims to be the kind of lawyer clients rely on—not just for technical expertise, but as a strategic partner in building and protecting the value of their businesses.
Building a Contractual Framework to Power a Creative Business Model
- Partnered with a wedding entertainment company to draft a new master services agreement and a suite of ancillary documents that supported a novel contractual relationship between the business, its customers, and performing artists. The customized agreement structure was critical for enabling the client’s unique business strategy and ensuring a seamless operational rollout across multiple stakeholder groups.
Navigating a Rapid Sale in a Shifting Market
- Represented a privately held healthcare provider in the sale of its assets under a dramatically compressed timeline due to unfavorable and unexpected market developments. Worked closely with both the client and the buyer’s counsel to conduct expedited due diligence and negotiate transaction documents in a matter of weeks—ensuring a timely closing that preserved deal value and positioned the client for stability and success post-sale.
Guiding Clients Through the New Era of Transparency
- Advised clients nationwide and across numerous industries on how to meet the federal Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements under the newly enacted Corporate Transparency Act. Filed reports for more than 50 corporate entities and consulted on dozens more, while providing real-time updates on evolving regulatory interpretations and legal challenges. Served as a key resource for clients and internal teams navigating one of the most significant new compliance regimes in recent years.
