Glenn is a seasoned trusts and estates attorney who guides high-net-worth individuals and families through the full spectrum of estate planning and administration, from straightforward wills to highly sophisticated, tax-sensitive plans.

With an advanced degree in tax law and the prestigious Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation, Glenn is known for helping clients navigate the complex intersections of tax, trust, and estate law with clarity and confidence.

Glenn works closely with clients to understand their goals—whether they’re seeking to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes or ensure that unique wishes for family, friends, or charitable organizations are carried out thoughtfully. He listens carefully and explains legal and tax concepts in plain language, easing concerns and empowering clients to make informed decisions about their legacies.

In addition to preparing estate plans, Glenn frequently serves as a fiduciary and advises personal representatives and trustees throughout the estate and trust administration process. His practice includes counseling out-of-state clients with Massachusetts property, preparing estate and gift tax returns, and advising beneficiaries with sensitivity and precision. Glenn also represents clients in estate-related tax matters before the IRS and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Whether helping clients structure a plan that reflects their values or managing the details of estate administration, Glenn’s goal is the same: to provide clarity, reassurance, and solutions that endure.

SOLUTIONS

Designing a Thoughtful, Probate-Avoidant Estate Plan for a Client Without Close Heirs

Planned the estate of a 90-year-old client with no close family members, carefully structuring the plan to avoid the cost and delay of probate while fully addressing charitable and non-charitable goals. The strategy ensured the client’s legacy would be carried out according to his wishes with minimal administrative burden.

Transferring Significant Family Wealth with Minimal Tax Exposure

Collaborated with a colleague to develop and implement a comprehensive wealth transfer strategy that minimized transfer tax liability. The plan involved the use of grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), sales to an intentionally defective grantor trust (IDGT), and low-interest intra-family loans to efficiently move substantial wealth to the next generation.

Helping a Client Diversify a Concentrated Stock Position While Advancing Philanthropic Goals

Assisted a client with a highly concentrated equity position to diversify her holdings while minimizing capital gains taxes. The plan included the establishment of a charitable remainder trust (CRT), which provided tax benefits and fulfilled the client’s charitable giving objectives.
