Julayne brings more than two decades of experience advising employers on all aspects of labor and employment law.

She partners with clients to navigate complex workplace issues with practical, business-minded guidance—helping them prevent problems before they arise and resolve disputes effectively when they do.

Julayne’s practice spans employment litigation, labor arbitration, union relations, and day-to-day counseling across the full employee lifecycle. She regularly advises employers on hiring, workplace policies, disciplinary action, terminations, and compliance strategies that align with evolving federal and state regulations. Her clients include multi-state businesses across a wide range of industries.

Before joining Rubin Rudman, Julayne was a partner at a management-side labor and employment firm, where she defended employers in administrative proceedings and court actions and served as a lead negotiator in collective bargaining. She also held director-level legal roles in both the private and public sectors, functioning as in-house counsel with oversight of employment litigation and HR compliance. In her role as Director of Labor Relations for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, she led labor relations strategy and advised on matters involving unionized workforces.

Earlier in her career, Julayne worked within key state administrative agencies—including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Department of Unemployment Assistance—gaining valuable insight into the regulatory framework that governs employment law today. Her clients benefit from this deep institutional knowledge, especially when responding to agency investigations or navigating high-stakes regulatory matters.

Known for her practical approach and steady judgment, Julayne is a trusted advisor to HR professionals and senior leadership alike.
