LEGAL ASSISTANT

Elizabeth Mahoney

Nicole brings both empathy and determination to her work, guiding clients through some of the most personal and challenging moments of their lives.

She focuses her practice on complex family law matters, including divorce, alimony and child support, custody disputes, contempt actions, and modifications of prior judgments. Nicole also counsels clients on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, helping them approach the future with clarity and confidence.

Nicole’s path into family law was shaped early, as she immersed herself in the subject while in law school. She founded and served as President of the Family Law Society, contributed as a Case Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review, and was recognized with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her achievement in negotiation. Her experience at Atwood & Cherny, where she concentrated exclusively on family law, deepened her commitment to helping clients resolve disputes with both strength and sensitivity.

Clients turn to Nicole for her ability to balance the technical demands of family law with an understanding of the human side of every case. Whether advocating in court or negotiating agreements, she strives to protect her clients’ interests while helping them move forward with stability and peace of mind.
