From the moment she sat through her first family law class, Sara knew this was the work she was meant to do.
Drawn in by the personal nature of the cases and the opportunity to make a tangible difference during the most difficult times in people’s lives, she found a practice that would allow her to work closely with individuals facing major life transitions—offering not only legal guidance, but also stability, clarity, and care.
Sara focuses her practice exclusively on representing individuals in family law matters, with particular expertise in high-conflict and high-net-worth divorce and custody disputes. She regularly handles pre- and post-nuptial agreements, paternity issues, child support, and modifications or enforcement of existing court orders. No matter the issue, her approach is grounded in a deep understanding of how personal these cases are and how life-changing the outcomes can be.
Clients trust Sara for her legal skill and the steady, empathetic counsel she provides throughout what can be an incredibly stressful and uncertain process. Many of the people she represents navigate sudden emotional and financial upheaval—learning to co-parent in a new family dynamic, adjusting to a significant shift in financial responsibilities, or taking ownership of personal decision-making for the first time in decades. Sara helps clients confront these realities with clarity, equipping them with the knowledge and perspective they need to move forward with confidence.
Ensuring Parenting Continuity and Financial Security Amid Mental Health Challenges
In a complex divorce involving custody and support, Sara represented a client facing emotional and mental health challenges and successfully secured a parenting plan that preserved the client’s relationship with their children. She also negotiated a financial resolution that addressed the client’s daily needs through child support and alimony, while enabling long-term financial planning through investment and savings.
Preserving Inheritance Through Targeted Divorce Strategy
Sara negotiated a divorce settlement in which her client retained 100% of a substantial, recently received inheritance by demonstrating that the funds were both unexpected and not relied upon during the marriage. Consequently, the inheritance was excluded from the equitable division of the marital estate.
Protecting Post-Divorce Windfall and Eliminating Alimony Obligation
In a post-divorce modification proceeding, Sara successfully terminated her client’s alimony obligation while safeguarding a substantial financial windfall from the sale of a company and associated stock option payouts. She also structured a life insurance trust to meet the client’s ongoing financial responsibilities for their children without transferring additional assets to the former spouse.
