LEGAL ASSISTANT

Anna Regnetta

Victoria approaches estate planning with empathy, precision, and a deeply personal sense of purpose.

Years ago, she watched her grandfather—who had quit school in sixth grade to support his 18 younger siblings—face a long battle with dementia. When her family turned to an attorney to protect their home and prepare for long-term care, she witnessed firsthand the impact that a thoughtful, well-crafted plan could have. That experience inspired her to pursue a career in helping other families navigate the same challenges.

Today, Victoria focuses her work on estate planning, trust and estate administration, complex probate matters, tax planning, and special needs planning. She partners closely with individuals and families to understand their goals and concerns—whether it’s protecting a primary residence, avoiding unnecessary tax burdens, or ensuring a child with special needs is cared for in the future. Her clients often describe her as exceptionally responsive and compassionate, noting that she regularly makes home, hospital, and nursing home visits when needed and doesn’t hesitate to work outside of regular hours to get things done.

One of the most meaningful moments in her career to date involved helping a client plan for the long-term care of his adult son with special needs. By crafting documents that named a successor guardian and outlined the client’s wishes, Victoria provided him peace of mind that his son would be protected after he was gone.

Victoria continues to deepen her practice by collaborating with experienced colleagues on complex estate and tax planning matters. She is particularly interested in expanding her work in elder law and special needs planning—areas where she can make a meaningful difference for families facing sensitive, often emotional decisions about their future.

LEGAL SOLUTIONS

Customized Estate Plan Amid Cognitive Decline

Guided a family through urgent estate planning after the unexpected death of the family’s matriarch. With the surviving father beginning to experience dementia, Victoria worked closely and patiently with him to design an estate plan that aligned with his comfort level and preserved his assets for care-related needs. The plan provided his children with the flexibility and legal authority needed to ensure his well-being and manage his affairs.

Complex Estate and Trust Administration with No Living Beneficiaries

Assisted a client in administering an estate involving a Will and Trust that lacked surviving beneficiaries. The named fiduciary was a disbarred attorney, complicating the matter further. Victoria successfully petitioned the probate and equity courts to have her client appointed as both Personal Representative and Trustee. She led the effort to identify, marshal the assets, and distribute them to more than 20 heirs at law, achieving a resolution that honored the decedent’s legacy and ensured legal compliance.

Multi-State Planning for High-Net-Worth Client

Advised a client with approximately $45 million in assets who had recently changed her domicile to Florida after a divorce. Victoria created a comprehensive estate plan to protect the client’s diverse real estate holdings from potential claims by her former spouse and to ensure the long-term transfer of wealth to the next generation. Her growing experience with Florida residency and domicile considerations continues to benefit clients with ties to both Massachusetts and Florida, particularly seasonal residents and snowbirds.
