LEGAL ASSISTANT

Laura Anderson

Denise is a trusted advisor to regional and national employers navigating the complexities of labor and employment law.

With decades of experience, she counsels clients on a wide range of workplace matters—from day-to-day personnel decisions to high-stakes terminations, mass layoffs, and compliance with evolving federal and state regulations.

Denise represents clients in litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including matters based on race, gender, age, disability, and national origin. She regularly appears before federal and state courts, as well as agencies such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. In addition to her litigation work, Denise conducts independent investigations into allegations of misconduct and provides practical, preventative training for employees and management.

Her practice includes drafting and negotiating employment contracts, severance agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies tailored to each client’s business goals and legal obligations. A respected thought leader in the field, Denise frequently lectures on employment law topics for legal and industry organizations, including the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, the National Business Institute, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Denise is a past President of the Massachusetts Bar Association, where she continues to be an active voice on issues affecting the legal profession and the workplace.
