Laura Kelly is a litigator with 15 years of experience representing businesses, insurers, and professionals in both state and federal court in a wide range of matters involving construction law, premises liability, real estate transaction disputes, housing and employment discrimination claims, products liability, trucking/auto accidents, general liability defense, insurance coverage, insurance fraud claims and bad faith. Laura also represents property management companies assisting with commercial and residential evictions. She has led jury trials in both Plymouth Superior Court and Middlesex Superior Court, obtaining a full defense verdict for her client in the matter of Rivella v. Taunton Housing Authority, Brockton Superior Court Civil Action No.: 14-00094-A. Laura has also obtained favorable rulings for her clients following argument presented before the Massachusetts Commissions Against Discrimination.
From 2008 through 2012, Laura worked as a litigation attorney at Millard, Holweger, Child & Marton in Los Angeles, California. She represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving, products liability, toxic torts (chemical exposures, asbestos), labor and employment disputes, personal injury, insurance defense (coverage issues and indemnity actions), professional negligence/medical malpractice, elder abuse, contests for corporate control (amongst shareholders, officers and directors), unlawful detainer/breach of lease and subrogation actions. In 2007, Laura served as a law clerk at Conway, Homer & Chin-Caplan in Boston, MA, specializing in vaccine injury law and claims brought under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act.
Laura completed a Judicial Externship for the Honorable Ronald Bauer Orange County Superior Court Complex Civil Department in 2006.
