June 6, 2023

BOSTON, MA – (June 2023) – Boston-based, full-service law firm, Rubin and Rudman, expands its Corporate Department with the addition of David Wittmann as Partner. Wittmann joins Rubin and Rudman from HOF Capital, a New York-based, multi-stage Venture Capital Firm where he served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to that, Wittmann was a partner in the Boston office of Rhode Island-based Partridge, Snow & Hahn.

Wittmann’s practice focuses on representing emerging and growth-stage companies in connection with general corporate matters, with a particular emphasis on capital-raising transactions. He also regularly represents venture capital firms and angel investors in connection with their investments in a wide range of industries, investment sizes, and deal structures (equity, SAFEs, SAFTs, convertible notes, etc.).

“I have known Dave for many years and am delighted he made the decision to join Rubin and Rudman,” said Neal F. Splaine, Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice. “He is an accomplished and versatile transactional attorney whose broad experience will add even greater bench strength to our already deep and sophisticated team of lawyers.”

Members of the Corporate Department at Rubin and Rudman serve as outside general counsel to emerging growth companies, closely held businesses, mid-sized growing companies and family-owned enterprises. Additionally, the team advises large financial institutions, insurance companies and various public entities on a wide range of business and corporate matters.

“I am thrilled to join Rubin and Rudman’s exemplary and growing corporate practice group,” said Wittmann. “The strength of the firm’s reputation for high-touch, deep-rooted client relationships and the abundance of accomplished attorneys across a wide range of practice groups is what drew me to the firm. I am confident that this collaboration will enable me to provide my clients with even greater resources,” added Wittmann.

Wittmann is a board member of the Volunteers of America-Massachusetts, and the current chair of the Finance Committee. In past years, he has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Massachusetts Super Lawyers©.

Wittmann received his J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law, cum laude, and a B.B.A. from Ohio University, cum laude.
