Social Law Library Description:

Get the inside scoop. Join us for an engaging webinar designed for attorneys interested in pursuing judicial service. This program will be anonymous and confidential as to attendees, so you can join without other attendees knowing that you registered and are present. The discussion will feature judges from a range of Massachusetts courts – including the Superior Court (e.g., Business Litigation Session and Criminal Session), District Court, and Probate and Family Court — who will share insights into their legal careers and the paths they took to the bench. Moderated by Attorney Lisa M. Cukier of Rubin Rudman LLP, the program offers a candid look at professional experiences, decision points, motivators, risks, pain-points and joys, and lessons learned along the way. The program will provide a valuable opportunity to learn directly from members of the judiciary and explore the many concerns that arise in the process of applying for a judgeship, becoming a judge and sitting on the judiciary, and the routes taken to becoming a judge.
