Elizabeth M. Sullivan
Elizabeth helps employers navigate the complexities of workplace management with confidence and clarity.
Whether advising on collective bargaining strategy, investigating sensitive personnel matters, or defending against discrimination claims, she is known for her ability to deliver practical, legally sound guidance that supports both compliance and culture.
Her work spans the full spectrum of employment and labor issues, including hiring and promotion practices, disciplinary actions, performance management, and internal investigations. She regularly counsels clients on a range of federal and state regulatory frameworks—from the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and PFML to FERPA, Title IX, the Clery Act, and VAWA. Her experience also includes wage and hour compliance and matters involving public records and open meeting laws.
Clients turn to Elizabeth when the stakes are high, whether in arbitration or before administrative bodies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Department of Labor Relations, or the Civil Service Commission. She is a seasoned advocate who brings deep institutional knowledge and a steady, solutions-oriented approach to each matter.
Earlier in her career, Elizabeth served as Director of Labor Relations for two major state agencies, giving her a firsthand perspective on the operational and legal challenges faced by public employers—particularly in unionized environments. That perspective continues to shape the way she helps clients build and maintain strong, compliant workplaces.
