For over twenty-five years, Carr’s practice has focused on the areas of estate planning, the administration of estates and trusts, and business law, working primarily with families, high-net worth individuals, and privately held businesses. Highly experienced with the technical, sophisticated aspects of estate, business and tax planning, Carr is also skilled at guiding clients through the personal and family dynamics that can influence planning. Carr is also the current President of the Boston Estate Planning Council (“BEPC”), one of the oldest and largest estate planning councils in the United States. Carr holds the designation of Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, to estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of experience, knowledge, education professional reputation, and character, to indicate a graduate level specialization in estate planning. He is a frequent speaker and writer on topics relating to estate planning, estate and gift taxation and estate administration.
