May 24, 2022

Boston, MA (May, 2022)Steven M. Carr, Partner in the Trusts and Estates Department of Boston-based law firm, Rubin and Rudman was recently selected as a member of the Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Committee. The Professional Advisors Committee counsels the Boston Foundation (“tBf”) as they establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships with the members of Greater Boston’s advisor community. Additionally, the Committee provides its members with opportunities to exchange charitable giving ideas, learn about new issues in philanthropy and establish new relationships with other advisors.

For over twenty-five years, Carr’s practice has focused on the areas of estate planning, the administration of estates and trusts, and business law, working primarily with families, high-net worth individuals, and privately held businesses. Highly experienced with the technical, sophisticated aspects of estate, business and tax planning, Carr is also skilled at guiding clients through the personal and family dynamics that can influence planning. As a trusted advisor, he works to educate his clients on all their options, translating the complicated lexicon of estate and business planning into language they can understand.

When Steve isn’t working with clients, he is most likely participating in a Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) event or meeting. Having held many roles in the 700 member organization of Greater Boston estate planning professionals, Steve most recently successfully served his term as the President and will be continuing in leadership for another year, as a member of the five person Executive Committee in the Past-President role.

When asked about his newly appointed position, Steve said, “I am excited and honored to be joining the stellar group of advisors who make up the Professional Advisors Committee and get more involved in the amazing work of the Boston Foundation.”

The Boston Foundation is Greater Boston’s community foundation since 1915, working in partnership with donors to build and sustain a vital, prosperous city and region where justice and opportunity are extended to everyone.
