King’s practice at Rubin and Rudman will focus on business litigation and insurance disputes. King joins the firm following a clerkship with Justice Kathryn Hand at the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She previously clerked at the Connecticut Superior Court following her graduation from the University of Connecticut’s School of Law.
“I am excited to welcome Melissa to the firm and our expanding litigation department,” said Michael D. Riseberg, Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. “She is a capable, qualified young lawyer with a bright future ahead of her,” continued Riseberg.
“I feel so privileged to be able to call the talented litigation attorneys at Rubin and Rudman my new colleagues,” said King. “I know that I will benefit greatly from the depth and breadth of their collective experience,” continued King.
King earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Connecticut’s School of Law, and prior to that, she graduated with distinction from Juniata College with a Bachelor of Arts. During law school, King was an editor for the Connecticut Law Review. In addition, she argued a habeas appeal as a certified legal intern in the Criminal Appellate Clinic.
King is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
